A step-by-step guide on how to proceed will show up. Follow the described procedure and you will have your board online.

Connect device to the internet

If you are going to connect the board to the Internet using a wireless connection, check the “Use Wireless” option and enter the network’s SSID and password. Hit “Submit”.

Choose name for your device

Hit the “Add new device” button and a configuration pop-up window will appear on the screen. You need to choose a name for your device and choose the embedded board you are going to use (Raspberry Pi, UDOO, Intel ® or BeagleBone Black) and press “Next”.

Create a new application

Select programming language

Choose “New application – Python” (you can choose from several programming languages and sample projects) and hit “Next”, then “Submit” and the application will appear in the gallery.

Name your project

Press the “Create new application” button and a pop-up will show up. There you need to insert the application’s name and, if desired, a short description.

Write the application’s source code

Write the code

Click on the application in the galley in order to open it. Once opened, you can edit the main.py file. Insert the following code:

Add a graph

Graph settings

Enlarge the graph and select the wheel button in order to launch the settings window. Replace signal1 with mysignal, the name of the signal sent from the application. This is the signal the graph will plot.

Add a line graph

Click the dashboard tab and select the “line” graph from the menu.

Run the application

Run the application

Hit the run button and watch as new values appear on the graph, every second.
